Thank You For Celebrating Creativity With Me

In collaboration with Best Nights VC, Jagermeister's investment arm.

10 years ago I drank my first shot of Jagermeister.

And last week I collaborated with their investment arm to host an art show!

What?

Thank you to everyone who came last Thursday in Berlin to celebrate creativity in the startup ecosystem!

For those who didn’t make it you can see the highlights here:

Creativity is the best of us.

It’s not only what has helped us grow as a society but it’s the best part about being human - and we all have it.

But art and creativity is best experienced away from a screen - in real life.

So it was amazing to collaborate with Best Nights VC, Jagermeister’s investment arm, to host event to celebrate creativity with dance, poetry, music and visual art!

This event was specifically focused on professionals in the startup ecosystem.

Our Linkedin may say we’re ‘Founders’, ‘Investors’ or ‘Product Managers’ - but we’re much more than that.

We’re dancers, artists, stand up comedians, poets… you get the point.

Everyone who displayed or performed at this event live a dual life between these two worlds.

The 2020s are truly a renaissance in creativity.

On one hand, we have AI and other technologies that are seemingly out to ‘replace’ creativity.

Whether that’s AI-generated art and music or VR experiences.

But on the other hand, we have new business models and channels such as streaming, subscriptions, and social media that allow creatives to earn a living - that was not possible even 20 years ago.

Ultimately, I think creativity is thriving. And I’m on a mission to make sure it continues.

Right now I do so as a:

  • Visual artist - painting and celebrating dancers and the human form

  • Content creator - educating and motivating people to exercise their creativity

  • Venture capital investor - investing into early-stage tech companies within creative industries.

I am always open to interesting projects and collaborations.

Feel free to reach out to me in reply to this e-mail, on Linkedin or Instagram.

Also… I love Berlin, for being a city that allows creativity to thrive. I shared my thoughts on this city at the event last week:
