My First Solo Art Show
It's been a long time coming!
7 years ago… I was rejected by my university to do my year abroad in Paris because I failed a macro economics module.
Next week… I will have my first-ever solo show at a gallery here in Paris!
Truly a full circle moment.
And you’re all invited to the opening show on 7th Nov! Register here.
You’re invited to the opening show on 7th November in Le Marais, Paris.
✨ I want to use this opening show as an opportunity to celebrate and support the talent of the Asian community hence inviting a dancer, musician and DJ from the Parisian Asian community to perform - you're in for a treat!
About the exhibition:
✨My exhibition features work inspired by the 10 dancers I’ve met in Paris since arriving a few weeks ago.
☕️ Before I arrived, I made an open call on instagram to meet dancers to get inspiration. Instead of a regular coffee we collaborated and made art together in the streets (see my reels for more). Each moment was special and it was such a fun way to exchange stories!
I am dedicated to celebrating and unlocking the creative potential in others. I want my art to serve more than just my own expressive needs but also to serve others and make the subject of my art to feel proud and empowered.
Here’s a cheeky photo of me in Paris from 2017 - after I was rejected to do my erasmus here I came for the summer anyway to continue learning french!
