Here’s how dating looked like…

40 years ago: You definitely meet someone in real life. You stay in contact with pen and paper.

30 years ago: You almost definitely meet someone in real life. You stay in contact by telephone.

20 years ago: You most likely meet someone in real life. You stay in contact by text messages.

10 years ago: You most likely meet someone via an app. You stay in contact through other apps.

Today: You meet someone and stay in contact all on the same platform.

Algorithms have changed how we meet people and date and its more subtle than just giving your data to Tinder and Bumble…

I believe that slowly everyone is becoming a content creator.

If you even occasionally share instagram stories… I’m sorry but you created content.

Like it or not you’re a content creator.

Now imagine those people (myself included) who post more content.

Maybe it’s an instagram reel or a video on Tiktok.

Algorithms will categorise this content and distribute it to people who WILL be interested. I say this with almost certainty because of the current sophistication of data science.

But the romance isn’t in the data… it’s in what the data has done.
